A reminder to all current Bronze Medallion holders to please sign up to your annual skills maintenance session and pre-season meeting on Sunday 10 September at 12.30pm.

Hello Bronte Member,

We are pleased to announce the Skills Maintenance dates alongside a revised process.

This year every Patrol Team and Nippers water safety have been allocated dates to gather teams together to refresh skills. The session dates are available on the website linked here and also below. Please confirm you will be attending on the form linked here.

With an anticipated hot summer coming up, skills maintenance will be conducted early in the season so that all patrollers can be proficient before the summer peaks. This will also help to ensure everyone's skills are refreshed on the front end of the patrol season so people are ready to jump into action with confidence.

All members that hold their Surf Rescue Certificate, Bronze Medallion or ART must complete a skills maintenance session at the start of each season. These sessions revise both theory & wet skills. Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers. Bronte Beach wouldn't be the same without you.

Skills Maintenance Session Dates:

Nippers Water Safety & Trainers - Sunday 10th September - 12.30pm to 3pm (During the first hour, Nippers Watery Safety will have a briefing and the Trainers will have an opportunity to complete their ART refresh & 009 CPR refresh)

Sat AM Patrols (1, 2, 3 & 4) plus RA/LM/LS/HM - Saturday 23rd September - 6.30am to 8.30am

Sun AM Patrols (9, 10, 11 & 12) plus RA/LM/LS/HM - Sunday 8th October - 6.30am to 8.30am

Sat PM Patrols (5, 6, 7 & 8) plus RA/LM/LS/HM - Saturday 21st October - 10.30am to 12.30pm

Sun PM Patrols (13, 14, 15 & 16) plus RA/LM/LS/HM - Sunday 22nd October - 10.30am to 12.30pm

Cadets - Sunday 22nd October - 9am to 10.30am



ART Session Dates:

ART & 009 CPR for Trainers - Sunday 10th September - 12.30pm to 1.30pm

ART - Saturday 21st October - 9.30am to 10.30am

ART - Sunday 22nd October - 9.30am to 10.30am

- Reserve Active / Life Member / Long Service / Honorary Member (RA/LM/LS/HM) and others not specifically assigned a session are welcome to sign up to any session.
- ART holders are welcome to attend a skills maintenance that is the same day as their ART course if need be.
- If you can't make your allocated session due to an extenuating circumstance or a critical reason, please choose another session but also keep in mind the session may already be full. (We will confirm with you if there is space in your newly selected session).
